Reece update wed 19 May
Hi All, it is ages since I have been on the blog. Reece had been improving and was was looking good until Mon when things got bad and passing blood and clots. so off to Nambour general Hospital emergency again and the catheter in and the bladder washout/irrigation commenced again. Today he has had a good conversation with his cardiologist in Perth and the plan is to stay off the Plavix which thins the blood. he takes this for the stents. He will stay off it till recovered properly then probably restart after he speaks the cardiologist. So it seems that he starts bleeding a couple of days after he recommences the Plavix. He feels a lot happier after this discussion and has a proper plan in place. Meantime, i visit each morning then have the afternoon pottering around.Yesterday I went and had my nails done so they are now blood red. there are very few caravans here, but have made friends next door. the fellow has an eye problem and requires more surgery tomorrow in Brisbane. so Gaylene and i have a couple of crocks to take care of.
The caravan park is only 93 kms from Brisbane and the Bruce Highway excellent but appparantly very busy on weekend with people visiting the Sunshine Coast.
I have been glued to some rubbish on the evening TV. Loved the Voice and thrilled harrison won. Then Tues night Celebrity Apprentice.
So we will be staying put for longer, and head down to Sydney early july.
So take care everybody.
Lots of love

Saturday
Just home with Reece from the big pineapple markets just 5 mins p the road. There are evil ar markets each weekend all around here. This one has beautiful produce for sail and so cheap
5 avocado $5
6 limes $1
Bag vine ripened tomatoes picked yesterday at Noosaville $5
Small bag spuds $2.50, beans too
1 leek for $1.50
That's just what I bought
S I have leek and potato soup cooking.
We are very excited coz the footy is on the TV later. We don't get much Afl coverage, esp the Dockers.
Otherwise not too much to report. Washing and changed sheets this morning. Sun shining but quite cool. Am just so pleased that Reece is doing well now.

Buderim bus
Amazing the type of vehicles on the road. This huge bus has a big trailer with a small 4 w drive and on top a dingy. It also looks like he has a workshop. I will chat to him tomorrow.....

Oh dear
Oh dear, poor old Reece has had a setback with his recovery. He is back in the Nambour Hospital. Last night I took him ther cos he was bleeding, so he had another catheter in and irrigation to clear the bleeding. It is not that uncommon to have a bleed some days later. Such a pity for him as he was starting to feel a lot better and quite perky, and planning our departure. But all is on hold. So meantime it is raining raining and I am enjoying TV, knitting and reading. Love Pen

Recuperating in Buderim
Well after an eventful couple of weeks Reece is now recuperating in our comfy little house. His prostate has been rebored and he is weeing like a fire hose now...the surgery was done very late last thurs evening ( it is now Monday) . So he was pretty quiet for a couple of days and discharged yesterday. He is a bit pale and tired as there was quite a big blood loss...just the type of surgery... So we just need to go very quietly. Which means afternoon rest , plenty of red meat to increase iron levels and no lifting or straining.
So I just go with the flow. I have found a golf course very close so I think I will go for a hit tomorrow.
It is a good spot to be resting up. Plenty of pretty drives, rainforest areas, nice shops. All good.very happy Reece is going outside to potter with his paint box!!!! Fantastic.
Love to everybody
