Bundaberg

We went to the Bundaberg brewing company and got a selection of the lemonade etc. Then onto to the Rum Distillery and bought some of their yummy chocolate rum liqueur......

Agnes Water, Queensland

This is a real holiday place. The safe beach is patrolled by the Lifeguard and the water really clear. Just has yellow sand tho, no white sand until you get to Noosa. Enjoying the morning on the beach walking, swimming then not too much. Off to find the fresh seafood shop and perhaps a prawn sandwich for lunch. Went off to the local Golf Club yesterday and hit a bucket of balls....hmmm some pretty good some average and of course the duds!
Leave tomorrow and will call in at Bundaberg Rum to get some of their delicious liqueur which is only available at the distillery. Then on to Woodgate, another holiday place on the beach. Then to Noosa where we will have two weeks at Tewantin at the same park we had Xmas with Emily and Lucas last year. Then Brisbane. Will leave then van in Brissie when we fly to Sydney for a few days!! Yeah can't wait for my cuddles and fun with Lucas and Emily. Will then leave Brissie October 13 and visit Ray and Pam Bland in Kyogle then on to Sydney by November 11. Stay till feb then wend our way home.
Reece is spending quite a bit of time without a shirt, ooh what a sight, but he is getting quite a tan. Looking forward to Noosa, as I can get some colour in my hair to cover the grey stripes I have. I don't find them very becoming!!!
Off to the prawn shop now ..

1770, north of Bundaberg

We have had five day at this pretty holiday spot. The air had been full of the beautiful blue butterflies. The local market today we saw this very friendly cool dog with his glasses and scarf on. Pity the Dockers lost last night..... Next year perhaps. Off to Agnes Water tomorrow for five days then south of Bundaberg to Woodgate. It really feels lime holiday time. The weather I'd divine. The beach is lovely and clear. School holidays just round the corner. It will be great to see all the families having fun. We will be having a few days in Sydney from Nov 8 . Will leave the caravan in Brisbane .

This place is really called 1770. Captain Cook arrived here.

Groper Creek

Flooding here each year so all the houses are on stilts. Some have a ramp up to the high level and clothes lines are on a high platform too.

Great spot here on the river. Very popular fishing barramundi, flathead and mud crabs.
