Friday night here and got home to find a Reece Cocks original postcard in the letter box - lovely end to the week - a Darwin edition too!! Can you please pass on big thanks from me - love the GCR animals!!

We are on our way down to west cork now for a chilled out weekend - would be nice to get a bit of sun too but won't hold my breath. And out for a celebration dinner tomorrow night... I'm finally a proper solicitor in Ireland!

Looks like Joz and the kids had a great time in Denmark - got to see some very happy pics.

Footy Fitzroy Crossing

Just found some new friends at local footy match. Owen is 3 and his granny is Helen. I had a lovely time talking about catching and cooking bush turkey, bush medicine, life at the various communities. Owens mum is still breast feeding her little man. Boy the footy was fast and furious. It is extremely popular.

Fabulous new IGA here. But check out the security weld mesh and steel door. So much security on all endows and doors here like so many of the places in the outback. Will have three days here. Big campsite resort style with big restaurant and bar. Security guard at the reception in the evening. We noticed many indigenous in the bar. Day at home today. Giekie Gorge tomorrow. Warm. Pool later. Hope your not too cold in Perth

Mabel Downs near Halls Creek

Last night we stayed just off the highway at one of Mabel Downs station gates. It was so quiet. A fire and Reece cooked the yummiest lamb chops.
