Hi Family and Friends,
It is now Monday 12 August and we are in the beautiful town of Berry which is 2 hours south of Sydney about 20 from the coast. We have had a lovely week with our babysitting which we both enjoy. It is so fantastic to walk into their house and hear them calling out Lally, Pappy and run up for hugs and kisses. We were lucky enough to do and extra day last week as the Wed girl was unwell.... So lucky us had another day with the kids. Thurs we take Lucas to his swimming class then we usually go to the park nearby but it was so awful and cold we came straight home after the obligatory after swimming ice cream. Lunch then both have a big two hour sleep. I put Emily to bed after her bottle and a cuddle with Pappy then Lucas and I pop onto Mummy and Daddy's bed and read two or three stories. Then he happily goes off to his bed for a sleep. We have a gorgeous cuddle . A really special time. Fri we wander up to the park later in the morning the the routine is to go and have roti at the Malaysian restaurant on the way home. The restaurant owners know us well now. The kids have roti then coconut ice cream. The house is very messy with us there coz we have toys, Lego, cubby cars all over the place.
Last wed night we went off to,the north Ryde RSL with some friends form the caravan park who,are much like us. From Floreat Park and on the road for over 12 months spending time with their grandies in Canberra and Melbourne..the RSL bus picked us up and brought us home. Reece did very well on the pokies and came home a winner and covered the cost of dinner...
Saturday a fella came and did the bearings etc on the van, then later we went off to Denise and Rob Campbell's house where we met before going to the Swans Collingwood footy match at Homebush Stadium. A bus collected us then we went for dinner then another bus trip to,the footy and home again in the bus. There was other old CCGS boys....Geof Potter, Craig McGown and his partner Marcia, Pete and Sue Harley, and their son Lachlan who is a student at ADFA, Canberra. It was good fun. We had very good seats and half time and after the game we went to the posh room for drinks. Pity Swans lost. The Homebush stadium is very impressive and enormous, probably a bit too big for the footy match. Good win for the Dockers on the weekend. Then on Sunday we came here to Berry, but detoured from the city as the city to surf run was on. Good drive here. We are staying at the Berry Showgrounds, big grassed area and a five minute walk to the shops. We had a nice walk around town this morning. Warm and sunny but the day progressed to be incredibly windy and the temp has dropped markedly. Just looking at TV now and apparently big storm has gone through Sth Sydney. The wind now is incredibly strong. we have brought in the awning and we are rocking like on a boat . Tomorrow we will take a drive around and return to Sydney on Wed.
This Wed we are going to see Toby Schmitz and Tim Minchin in a play.
After I come home from Perth in October we will go and visit Reece's brother Vance in Mornington, Victoria then we plan to have Xmas in Noosa with Jo and Rich.
Do you like the huge big black car in the pics. It is a Ford 650 with six doors, painted all matte black. Of course there was a blond with perky boobs with climbed out of it. Am having a problem with my phone camera so not many pics. It was a real people stopper.
Mum and Anth have fun at Denmark. The new construction looks amazing.
Rozza love the banter with Bill and Reece. Happy birthday to Wilson.
