I have just walked back from the moving dawn service at port elliot and now watching the service at kings park on the TV. It looks so beautiful. Such an emotional time. Love pen

Port Elliot, Fleurieu Peninsula.

Wind rain and cold so out with my beautiful Italian boots. They have a chunky heel which my feet are not used too..... So they won't be on for long!

We are looking at Horse shoe bay from the van. A small sheltered bay. Will stay here until Wednesday when we go to Adelaide which is less than two hours away. Ray Bland will join Reece. Home soon.

Meningie on Lake Albert

My new best friend Myra delivers the mail every morning. The mail box sits on top of an old pram. She is 73 and loves to get away from her cranky old husband.

Penola SA

From Harrow to Penola, Coonawarra. Lovely drive through undulating country on the back roads. Mix of sheep and cattle. Visited Wynn winery. Autumn coloured vines for miles around. Cool today.

Dimboola second hand shop

Two new wine glasses for $3 each. Amazing shop where I could have spent hours. The lady had been there for forty years.

We had a great time with Liz and Graeme Glasgow on their farm called Claremont. The farm is inland from pretty Port Fairy. Graeme breeds Angus and in the midst of calving so it was lucky to see all the cute babies. Also lambing and we did enjoy the home grown roast lamb for dinner. There is an enormous wind farm nearby with more than 120 turbines.
Now a couple of days st Halls Gap in the Grampians. Nice rugged hills. Emus kangaroos and many ducks wander about the caravan park. Cool at night. I love having my window open and enjoy the cold air on my face. There is a big red bus here. It is a mobile dialysis unit. So some people are able to have a holiday who would otherwise be unable to leave home and have a break.
Had a good time with Vance and Annie. They are hoping for a quick sale of the house so they can start renovations on the new one. Annie's mother Merle will move with them. The Vic government will erect a pre fab stand alone granny flat in the back yard. They will remove it when no longer required. Sounds like a good idea. Does WA do the same.
Tomorrow we will head north through Horsham then down to Mt Gambier and Robe.
The deciduous trees are looking pretty with their Autumn leaves.
So happy to hear Sarah and Dave are engaged. Jo and Richard 8 year wedding anniversary.
 Love to you all

Lunch with Jane

I had a nice day with Jane Cocks today at her mother, Meg Austin, house in Mt Eliza. Jane is her mothers carer. The day has been sunny. Daylight saving now over. Off to get our flu jabs tomorrow. Caravan park now empty again as everyone headed home. Lovely. We have it all to ourselves again.

Easter Sunday

Annie's mother Merle was 91 today. Happy Birthday. We had a lovely lunch outside the csravan and a happy time together in spite of it being a bit chilly and wrapping Merle up in rugs.
